The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is one of the five leading centers in Europe in high-performance computing and a benchmark in the development of open source technologies. Its infrastructure houses MareNostrum, the most powerful supercomputer in the State, which has evolved over four generations to offer increasingly advanced computing capacity.
With a dual mission, the BSC provides supercomputing infrastructures and services to scientists from all over Europe and, at the same time, promotes the development of knowledge and technology with a direct impact on society.
This year, the center has presented BSC Connects, a pioneering initiative to promote public-private collaboration and improve business competitiveness. Through this program, companies will be able to access the scientific and technological knowledge of the BSC, taking advantage of the computational power of MareNostrum 5, as well as other Artificial Intelligence resources and quantum technologies. The goal? To develop innovative solutions to address the major challenges of the business sector.
During the day, there will also be a discussion on data management and automation in the industry, where leading companies will explain technologies and specific use cases. There will also be space to learn about the advances in Artificial Intelligence, and its impact that it has and will have on the packaging industry. With this commitment, the BSC reinforces its role as an innovation engine, promoting knowledge transfer and the application of supercomputing in the business fabric.
The session will serve, on the one hand, to learn about the application of supercomputing in the business fabric and how it can be an innovation engine, and on the other to learn about and discuss innovative solutions within the framework of artificial intelligence (AI), data management, automation through technologies such as sensors and robotics.
Aimed at: Managers (CEO), innovation managers (CIO) and operations managers (COO) and technology managers (CTO).
