The new EU Machinery Regulation 1230/2023 introduces significant changes affecting both manufacturers and companies that use machinery and equipment. This session will analyse the main regulatory updates and the situations in which a company may shift from being considered a user to a manufacturer, with the legal responsibilities this entails.
The session will also review legal responsibilities related to occupational health and safety (OHS) —administrative, civil and criminal— arising from the incorrect application of current regulations.
The event will conclude with a roundtable discussion with industry experts, addressing key topics such as the integration of prevention into equipment management, the importance of change control in machinery, and how safety considerations during the design and purchasing stages can help minimise risks and liabilities.
