The 2IN1E-FLAT project aims to test the implementation of the new 2in1® e-Flat box within the reverse logistics of the technology sector, analysing its behaviour in reception, storage, shipments and returns. This initiative aims to demonstrate the feasibility of reuse in sensitive technological products, improving the protection of devices and reducing packaging waste.
Led by CAPSA Packaging and Packaging Cluster, with the support of the Catalan Waste Agency, the project is part of the call for subsidies for projects to promote the circular economy of this same agency. It will have a budget of €39,986, will last 24 months and officially began on December 15, 2025.
Currently, the logistics flows of technological products are faced with the massive use of single-use packaging that offers little protection and makes it difficult to reuse. 2IN1E-FLAT addresses this challenge by testing the 2in1® e-Flat Box box, a solution that:
The 2in1® e-Flat Box has been recognized with the Liderpack 2024 Award in the category of Electronics, Image and Sound Packaging, an award that endorses its innovation, functionality and sustainable approach within the sector. Here you can see a demonstration.
The pilot tests of the project will allow data to be obtained to develop a calculator of economic and environmental costs linked to reuse, validate the logistics model, reduce incidents and minimize waste, with the ambition of demonstrating the scale and applicability of the solution in the technological logistics chain.
With this project, CAPSA Packaging and Packaging Cluster reinforce their role as driving agents of collaborative innovation in reusable packaging, providing concrete solutions to make industrial reuse a viable and scalable reality.
