We are pleased to announce that the Packaging Cluster has successfully renewed its accreditation as an  AEI (Innovative Business Association) , granted by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism. This distinction reaffirms our commitment to competitiveness, strategic collaboration and driving innovation in the packaging sector.

What does it mean to be an  AEI?

An AEI is an ecosystem that combines companies and research centers in a geographical or sectoral space to generate competitive advantages through joint innovative projects. The renewal of this seal is not automatic: it requires demonstrating a  relevant critical mass, a solid organizational structure, financial viability and, above all, a Strategic Plan that promotes innovation and internationalization, especially of SMEs in the sector.

A direct boost for our partners

The AEI status allows the cluster and its partners to participate in its support program.

One of its line of support is dedicated to technical  feasibility studies, which is essential for those projects that need a preliminary phase of definition before making the leap to large-scale calls such as the Horizon Europe programme  or future lines of digitalisation and global  challenges of the AEI call itself.

The promotion of digital transformation and  Industry 4.0 is one of the pillars of the program. Through this line, partners can finance industrial research and experimental development projects that introduce innovations both in their production processes and in their internal organization.

Another of its lines, grants support to cooperation projects aimed at solving strategic challenges focused on proposing solutions in areas as diverse as the creation of climate-neutral cities, the development of new electric mobility ecosystems or the transformation towards industrialized and sustainable construction.

Looking to the future

With this renewal, the Packaging Cluster consolidates its position as a key agent for the transformation of the industry. We will continue to work to offer valuable services and innovative projects that promote the technological development and internationalization of the industry.
